Get an on-brand explainer video.
Built from the site you already designed.
Enhance your design with a clear, 60–90 second animated video that feels like it shipped with the website.
Clear messaging · Brand-matched motion · Designer-friendly process
Adding a video isn't a separate project. It's the one you already finished.
The design is done. The copy is approved. That's everything an explainer video needs.
You've never offered it because video is a different industry.
Not a skill you're missing. A separate world, sitting right next to yours.
✘ Vendors you've never had to vet
✘ A process that doesn't map to your build
✘ A vocabulary that isn't design
That gap is the opportunity. Just not the way people usually mean it.
Skill stacking without the extra work.
Skill stacking normally means you go learn one more thing, take on more work, and charge about the same.
This is the other kind. Two people already good at their own thing, stacked.
Neither of us picks up a new skill. The deliverable just gets bigger.
Your work makes mine easier and faster. Mine makes yours worth more.
You already made every call. I just take it one format further.
I edit video. I don't design websites.
You keep the design.
Every role touches every other part of a project. I want the big picture, not just the shot I'm being paid for.
I’m not here to handle a tedious task like an hourly employee.
You keep the relationship.
I'll work with your client directly. That doesn't make them mine. You made the connection, and I'd rather keep working with you than around you.
Your client gets more than a site.
Same message, second format. The people who don't read get it anyway and your client has another touch point to give their investment in a website investment more reach.
Examples
EDILYTICS
Company Overview
Explainer Animation
I got to work with Austin Falter & the team at Edilytics to make this animation happen. Edilytics needed an explainer video for their program which reads and analyzes CRISPR data.
I am not a scientist, but because I took the time to understand the science up front, there were very few revisions. We wound up with a video that was slick, stylish, and communicated the complex nature of the problem Edilytics solves without being too heady. That video still lives on their website over a year later.
I love helping these brilliant professionals take their branding and their products and combine them into a video which communicates their unique value as a company!
Locai
Online Grocery
Overview Animation
For Locai, I worked alongside web designer Ben Manley to turn the brand’s website messaging and visual system into an animated overview of its online grocery platform and the 4 main product offerings.
The result helped reinforce the differentiation of product offerings while creating a flexible video asset that felt native to the website.
Life Stage Films
Legacy Process Explainer Video
I partnered with Matt Davis of LifeStage Films to create the motion graphics for the Legacy Film Process explainer video.
I designed and animated visual elements to match the style of his website's Legacy Film landing page, keeping everything visually consistent and on-brand. The graphics were created to feel calm and simple, prioritizing Matt’s on-screen presence so he could stay personally connected with the audience.

Deerfoot Lodge
Heart of the Mission
This is an animation I did for Deerfoot Lodge.
It's a perfect example of using a website to inform the decisions of a video. Using an interview and B-roll from the camp, I incorporated the existing motifs like paper texture and maps, as well as made the footage more dynamic without taking focus from the mission.
I start with their brand.
Your client picked their brand. They already like it.
So when the video looks like an extension of it, you're not asking them to approve a new idea — you're showing them their own decision looking good. I make those touch points early.
Fewer rounds of revisions. Faster yes.
Brand guide, website, the last three videos they put out. If there's a pattern, I'll find it and match it. If there isn't one, we can work it out from their industry, their audience, or plain color theory. Established brand, half-built website, or just a strong opinion about blue — it all counts.
I look at everything they've already made.
Most clients can't tell you what they want.
But they can point at it. So I find what they've already said yes to and make your project look like it — whether you've closed it or you're still pitching.
Key benefits
Less to argue about — it's their taste, not mine
Less to build — we're adding to something that exists
Here's how this usually starts.
You send me your site
A project you've won, or one you're about to pitch.
Ideation is free. I'd rather spark something with you than quote you cold.
We get on a call
Then you decide if you want me to build it.

I don’t just add motion to graphics to a video.
I infuse your brand into your video. In a way that feels intentional, polished, and engaging.
I’m not just here to animate—I’m here to elevate.
I’m Sam Hanson. After 11 years in professional motion design and video production, I started Unlidded.Co to help teams and individuals bring clarity, story, and visual polish to their projects—without reinventing the wheel.
Unlidded.Co isn’t just about animation or VFX—it’s about improving video. I take motion design and use it to make your video an extension of your brand, not an add-on.
With a background in commercial film, visual effects, and animation, I approach every project holistically—blending story, style, and strategy to craft visuals that feel intentional, seamless, and refined.
This is motion with purpose—designed to elevate your message, not distract from it.
Let’s make better video together.
Not sure what you need? That’s exactly where I come in.
