Someone who cares about your client as much as you do.

You've hired good people, but you're probably still the only one thinking about the client.

You're still the only business owner in the room.

Everyone else is thinking about the work. You're thinking about the client.

Whether it's what they actually asked for

Whether it's still in scope

Whether they'll come back

You don't need another pair of hands, you need another brain.

When I started Unlidded, I decided to focus on the three things that actually light me up.

I worked for a video business owner for 11 years.

Growth

Every role touches every other part of a project. I want the big picture, not just the shot I'm being paid for.

Relationships

I'd rather be someone you can rely on than someone you hire. Even when its a single shot nobody sees my name on it.

No matter what, I am going to be as straightforward and kind as I can.

Motion Graphics

If I know the goal, I can build a system for it. The tedious stuff gets faster, and the retainer stops feeling like a grind.

That's why I bill per project.

Hourly means I get paid more for being slow. I'd rather build the thing that makes the next round quicker.

And it compounds. By the third video for the same client, it shouldn't cost what the first one did.

And why I start with their brand.

Your client picked their brand. They already like it.

So when the video looks like an extension of it, you're not asking them to approve a new idea — you're showing them their own decision looking good. I make those touch points early.

Fewer rounds of revisions. Faster yes.

Brand guide, website, the last three videos they put out. If there's a pattern, I'll find it and match it. If there isn't one, we can work it out from their industry, their audience, or plain color theory.

Established brand, half-built website, or just a strong opinion about blue — it all counts.

And why I look at everything they've already made.

Most clients can't tell you what they want.

But they can point at it. So I find what they've already said yes to and make your project look like it — whether you've closed it or you're still pitching.

Key benefits

  • Less to argue about — it's their taste, not mine

  • Less to build — we're adding to something that exists

Here's how this usually starts.

You send me something.

A project you've won, or one you're about to pitch.

Ideation is free. I'd rather spark something with you than quote you cold.

We get on a call.

Then you decide if you want me to build it.

I come back with a direction.

Excite your graphics, Then your audience

I don’t just add motion to graphics to a video.

I infuse your brand into your video. In a way that feels intentional, polished, and engaging.

I’m not just here to animate—I’m here to elevate.

I’m Sam Hanson. After 11 years in professional motion design and video production, I started Unlidded.Co to help teams and individuals bring clarity, story, and visual polish to their projects—without reinventing the wheel.

Unlidded.Co isn’t just about animation or VFX—it’s about improving video. I take motion design and use it to make your video an extension of your brand, not an add-on.

With a background in commercial film, visual effects, and animation, I approach every project holistically—blending story, style, and strategy to craft visuals that feel intentional, seamless, and refined.

This is motion with purpose—designed to elevate your message, not distract from it.

Let’s make better video together.
