Add a homepage explainer video.

Skip the extra project.

Turn the site you’ve already designed into a clear, 60–90 second motion-design video that feels like it shipped with the website.

Clear messaging · Brand-matched motion · Designer-friendly process

Adding video shouldn’t feel like adding another job.

You already manage strategy, design, and client expectations. The moment video enters the picture, it can turn into:

  • New vendors to manage

  • Scripts to write from scratch

  • Extra rounds of feedback and approvals

This page exists so you can offer a custom explainer video without taking on a second project.

Built to work with web designers, not around them.

This offer exists because I’ve seen how powerful it is when motion design and web design work together.

For years, I’ve been hired to create explainer videos after the fact: digging through live sites, reverse‑engineering the message, and trying to guess what the original designer had in mind.

When I’m able to work directly with the web designer instead, everything gets easier:

  • The story is already clear in the page copy

  • The visual language is already defined in the design

  • The video can feel like the website simply came to life

So I built this as a simple add‑on you can plug into your projects.

You stay the architect of the website. I handle the motion piece that makes it easier to understand.

Designed around your process, not mine.

This isn’t “Sam’s dream workflow” forced onto your projects. It’s the opposite.

I based this offer on the parts of the process that are already easiest for me:

  • I use your approved website copy as the script foundation

  • I use your layouts, typography, and brand as my style guide

  • I plug into your existing client relationship instead of adding a new vendor for them to manage

For you, that means:
You design the site like you always do.
You add “Homepage Explainer Add-On” as an upgrade.
You make a quick intro.

From there, I run the video project directly with the client when needed, keep you in the loop on anything that touches the design, and deliver a finished, website‑ready video.

This is “more of what they just bought, with less effort and hassle” for both you and your client.

The Video

The Site

A video that feels like part of the website.

  • Clear messaging
The approved website copy becomes the script, so the video reinforces the same story you’ve already designed around.

  • Brand-matched motion
Colors, type, layout, and visual language are built from your design system, so it looks like the site came to life, not like a separate campaign.

  • Designer-friendly process
You stay informed without becoming the middleman. Communication is structured, revisions are limited, and we only loop you in when it affects the design.

Motion that serves the business, not just the portfolio.

I’ve been in Video production motion design for years, but I don’t approach these videos as “cool animations for my reel.”

Every project starts with:

  • What business outcome is this idea trying to drive?

  • What does the visitor need to understand quickly?

  • How can the video support the story you’ve already designed, not compete with it?

Your client doesn’t just get something that moves. They get:

  • A clearer explanation of what they do

  • A stronger first impression on their homepage

  • Another reason to trust the website (and you)

You get credit for bringing in a specialist they probably wouldn’t have known how to find or manage on their own. You remain the trusted website expert; I’m the quiet partner who helps your work perform better.

A video that feels like part of the website.

  • The hard part is usually everything that comes with it:

    • Finding a motion designer

    • Figuring out the script

    • Keeping the style on-brand with your site

The Homepage Explainer Add-On

Custom 60–90 second motion-design explainer, typically $3,000–$5,000.

  • Includes:
✓ Script from approved website copy
✓ Motion design matched to the site and brand
✓ Custom animation & visual storytelling
    ✓ Music and sound design
    ✓ Two structured revision rounds
    ✓ Final web-ready files
✓ Direct client communication when appropriate

Here’s how it works.

  • Introduce us
Loop Unlidded in once messaging and visual direction are set.

  • We build the video
We review the site, draft the script, and design a direction that fits your work and the message you’re already helping your client share.

  • You launch a stronger site
Your client gets a clear explainer that helps visitors understand the business and take action.

Edilytics // Explainer Animation

Loved getting to work with Austin Falter & the team at Edilytics to make this animation happen.

One of my favorite things about video has always been dipping my hand into different industries and learning what people do to revolutionize them.

Wrapping my head around new concepts to animate them is a challenge and stretches the mind (sometimes to its max), but that’s what I love about it. And with passionate people who care about making their industry better taking lead, it’s always worth it.

Life Stage Films // Legacy Process Explainer Video

I partnered with Matt Davis of LifeStage Films to create the motion graphics for the Legacy Film Process explainer video.

I designed and animated visual elements to match the style of his website's Legacy Film landing page, keeping everything visually consistent and on-brand. The graphics were created to feel calm and simple, prioritizing Matt’s on-screen presence so he could stay personally connected with the audience.

3. For Non-profits Educators & Coaches

Audience: Nonprofits, educators, or curriculum creators who need video to teach, inspire, or spread awareness.

Need: They need clarity, emotion, and structure—but not fluff.

What You Offer: Clear storytelling, a strong sense of empathy, and the ability to animate abstract or conceptual ideas (e.g. letters dancing, big ideas made visual). You're not just making it look good—you’re making it stick.

– For Educators / Mission-Driven Orgs

Headline: Make Big Ideas Click.

Subheadline: Teaching something meaningful? I help make it memorable—with motion that informs, inspires, and sticks.

Pain Point: Your topic is abstract, complex, or just plain hard to explain. You need a partner who can help distill the message visually without dumbing it down.

What I Do: From animated curriculum to awareness and fundraising campaigns, I help bring clarity and warmth to your message. Using motion, color, and pacing–all with your branding. I make your ideas easy to absorb—and hard to forget.

  • Deerfoot Lodge // Heart of the Mission

    • This is an animation I did for Deefoot Lodge. It's a perfect example of using a website to inform the decisions of an explainer video. I wanted to use the motifs that they had like paper texture and maps, while also giving the footage life as the message remained the focus.
